Facilities

Lecture Hall
The college has 4 nos. of lecture halls for the B.Sc. Nursing students and 7 nos. of lecture halls for M.Sc (N) students. All these halls are well-illuminated, properly - ventilated and with modern sitting arrangement and LCD facilities.

Library
A well-stocked library with a holding of more than 3000 books of latest edition and a number of nursing, medical and non- nursing journals, and periodicals of national and international standards to update the knowledge of students and to facilitate research work. There is also provision of
- Spacious sitting arrangement for 50 students
- Internet facilities.

Reading Room
The college has a separate spacious reading room with good seating arrangement for at least 60 students. There is also a room for daftary.

Laboratories
Before being expert in the clinical practice, students need to get oriented with the dummy practices and learn the skills to handle the live situations. The college encompasses with highly-equipped laboratories of the latest models to train M.Sc. Nursing students.

A. Fundamental Laboratories
With modern type of female, male and half fibre dummy, baby dummy with facilities for IV infusion, CPR demonstration etc. All other equipments like suction machine, oxygen cylinder, cradles, charts etc. are available.

B. Community Laboratory.
It has drawn attraction for it's set up with various models ( PHC , SC , Village Map, home delivery, etc.), charts and posters and also equipped with specially and technically designed community bags etc.

C. Nutrition Lab.
It is highly equipped with pleasing utensils, crockeries, models and charts.

It is beautifully structured with central gas connection.

D. Maternity and Child health Lab.
Furnished with latest equipments, dummy showing delivery process, maternity kit, models and many charts and posters.

E. Computer Lab
The Lab is one of the favorite joints in the organization. It is also supplied with computers with internet facilities.

F. Audio-Visual Lab.

The lab has collection of more than 100 charts, many models, and other ultra modern devices DVD Player, LCD, Slides etc.

G. Anatomy, Biochemistry and Microbiology Lab
The Labs look lively by its assets of natural origin -Bones, Skeleton, Specimen, etc.

Auditorium/Multipurpose Room
The air-conditioned auditorium serves the purpose by its large occupancy of about 200 people to cater for the functions of the college educational conferences, workshops, examination, and cultural occasions with all kinds of advanced audio-visual systems.

Common Room
A large ventilated common room is centrally placed for the students relaxation with TV, play items, newspapers, magazines and brain storming games.

Faculty Room
All the staff rooms are well equipped, ventilated (A/c connection in Dean and Professors and Readers room) and illuminated with pleasant look.

Record Room
A separate record room with steel racks, built in shelves and racks, cupboards and filling cabinets for proper storage of records and other important papers/documents belonging to the college.

Store room
A separate storeroom is available to accommodate the equipments and other inventory articles required for the college.

Canteen
The Institute canteen is of a big hall-type in its own campus, which caters healthy and fresh foods at a reasonable price.

Health Services
To keep both body and mind fit to undertake the challenges of student- life, the University has made provisions to take care of students by regular check-ups under its Annual Medical Examination, vaccination against Hep-B, Rubella and attending to medical emergencies. The SUM Hospital equipped with ultra-modern facilities, has made free medical treatment for the students and at concession for the staff.

Other Facilities

Sports and NCC
A large sports range has been built up for outdoor games such as cricket, badminton, basketball etc. Students also get other recreational facilities. Besides, there is NCC training programmes in order to teach the students the life skills, bravery, survival spirit, sense of patriotism etc.

Placement Cell
SUM Nursing College has dynamic placement cell that identifies the industry needs from time to time and prepares its graduates through training and PI programmes to meet the challenges. The placement cell invites top medical institutes/hospitals, Nursing Colleges and Schools for the placement inside the country as well as abroad.

Transportation

The organization provides transportation facilities for all the students for their orientation programmes, picnic, attending functions, inter college competitions, and that wherever required.

Hostel
The Institution provides facilities for hostel accommodation for both boys and girls. The hostel is spacious, safe and secured with a cordial environment and surrounded by dense plantation and gardens. A hygienic kitchen has been provided with a large dining hall. The rooms are designed with marble flooring and attached bathroom.
